Abstract. The congenital clubfoot is one of the most common skeletal deformities. The incidence is known to be 1–2/1,000 in newborns. The deformity is characterized by pathological changes of joints, bones (especially the talus), muscles, tendons and soft tissues which result in sub-talar malposition: equinus, varus, adductus and cavus.
